MLRE Favorite Things vol. 1: The Date Night
Fam, we have a confession to make...
We absolutely love getting our real estate on. We live, breathe, and sleep real estate. From the exciting (to us!) market analyses, to finding the perfect homes for our buyers, and slaying a listing for top dollar. We love it. BUT, there will always be one thing in this world that we love more than #RealEstatin': Spending time with our families.
Our home base of Jupiter, Florida and the surrounding areas are filled with countless activities, restaurants, shops, events, and hot spots, all of which are perfect for our family outings when we aren't #RealEstatin'.
So how do we spend our time in the SoFlo when we aren't showing our buyers their future dream homes, directing our homes' photo shoots, and driving a sale to get you top dollar when you sell your home with our team? (*Shameless plug alert*)
One way is the quintessential date night!
Here are 7 of our favorite Date Night spots in Jupiter and the surrounding areas.
1. Brick Top’s & The Angry Moon, Palm Beach Gardens
Brick Top’s and The Angry Moon in Palm Beach Gardens are a date night combo created in the heaven’s offering a fun unforgettable evening. This is why our girl, Caroline Harper is a huge fan of date night at these hot spots with her husband.
“Brick Top’s is a fun spot to grab some fresh seafood while enjoying the outdoor patio and intracoastal breeze, a true ambiance of the South Florida lifestyle. After dinner, we like to pop on over to the cigar and piano bar at The Angry Moon, which is only a block away. You can choose between inside or outside seating while relaxing with an after dinner cocktail and good live music.”
- Caroline Harper
2. 2Vinez, Jupiter
2Vinez, formerly Too Bizarre , is Hobe Sound’s realtor extraordinaire, Tara Fontana-Goldstein’s favorite spot. The eclectic decor offers couches to curl up in with your favorite person while enjoying perfectly handmade sushi rolls. If sushi isn’t your date’s favorite thing then don’t worry the menu is a continuation of the eclectic theme offering tons of delicious options.
“I travel from Hobe Sound for this cozy couple spot. The living room-like setting gives the restaurant a relaxing and laid back feel. The sushi is fresh and they have so many interesting combinations. My favorite roll is the Strawberry shortcake roll.
2Vinez also has an awesome assortment of wines from all over the world and after a long week of real estatin' this is my place to unwind with my husband and kick off the weekend.”
- Tara Fontana-Goldstein
3. Hogsnappers Shack & Sushi, Tequesta
Clearly the MLRE team are huge fans of Sushi, which is why another one of date night picks falls into the Sushi category. We love Hogsnappers for its original take on sushi blending the common sushi roll with a tropical feel. The restaurant takes you on a Caribbean culinary vacation while never leaving the quaint Tequesta restaurant. Hogsnappers, is the leader of the lemon heads, Holly Meyer Lucas’ favorite date night restaurant.
"My husband Ed, and I love Hogsnappers on US 1 in Tequesta! It's our go-to date night spot. The sushi is always really fresh and their rolls are amazing. They always prepare the food quickly while still maintaining a high level of quality.
When I'm out house hunting with our clients, it's also a great spot for us to stop for lunch. Many a contract has been written up around the tables there. Ha!"
- Holly Meyer Lucas
4. Little Moir’s Leftovers Cafe, Jupiter
If you’re from Jupiter then you definitely know and love this culinary establishment. Little Moir’s Food Shack & Leftovers Cafe is a staple in our hometown. Nothing beats the food they are serving which is why it’s a perfect date night spot for the foodie couple. Our guy, Dan Borgmeyer, loves to take his wife there for their special evenings together.
“Linda and I love going to Leftovers on Military Trail in Jupiter. When we need a night out together this is our favorite spot. The menu is always creative and I absolutely love the "Jupiter's Famous Indoroni" also known as the Grown up Mac-n-Cheese. The service is excellent, and the food is fresh, a combo that can’t be beat. The central location is perfect for anyone living in Abacoa or anywhere else in Jupiter, Juno, or Palm Beach Gardens. It's also a great place to stop by for lunch with our clients while we are out hunting for that perfect house.” - Dan Borgmeyer
5. The Parched Pig & Coolinary Cafe, Palm Beach Gardens
Another staple foodie joint is Coolinary Cafe in Palm Beach Gardens. This farm to table restaurant takes “cool” vibes to the next level, not mention the food is out of this world. It’s pretty much a given for a date night spot in Palm Beach County. Coolinary Cafe owners have recently expanded their repertoire introducing The Parched Pig, as a local watering hole for their dedicated fans. These locations are all time fav spots for our trendy, Director of Business Development, Alexis.
“My go to date night spot with my boo is The Parched Pig and Coolinary Cafe. It’s no secret that Coolinary Cafe always has a wait because it’s so %^#$ GOOD. If you haven’t tasted their chicken & waffles you haven't truly lived. So we always put our name in and then walk on down to “The Pig”. We are HUGE fans of vino, so this bar is our go to. We have a nice glass of wine (or two) while we wait for our table. Wine helps pass the time, while honestly waiting is no problem, since at the end of our wait is a foodie heaven for our taste buds.” - Alexis Araujo
6. Cafe Centro, West Palm Beach
Cafe Centro is another gem of a restaurant in Palm Beach County. What makes this cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant the perfect date night is the rustic ambiance accompanied by the live piano. This spot is our talented singer, Leslie's, favorite restaurant to go to with her beau.
“One of my favorite places on the weekends in the area is Cafe Centro Piano Room in West Palm Beach in Northwood. They have wonderful food and service but they have a live music show on Friday and Saturday nights that is fantastic!! Wonderful!!”
- Leslie Rich
7. Maggiano’s Little Italy, Boca Raton
Who doesn’t love Italian food? I think we would be hard pressed to find a person who hates spaghetti! That’s why Maggiano’s Little Italy in Boca Raton has made the Meyer Lucas team’s favorite date night spots. This is one of David’s favorite places to take his wife when they are able to escape for an adult evening.
“Having a date night out with my wife Meredith without our 2-year old is a rare occasion that we cherish. For us there is no better date night than Maggiano's Little Italy in Boca Raton! With generous family-sized portions and an authentic Italian atmosphere it is genuinely a pleasure for both dining and discussing our latest real estate success. I love the amazing Chicken Parmesan and my wife Meredith craves their Gnocchi. Leftovers for Days and one of the largest Wine selections in all of South Florida. Located on Glades Road in Boca Raton 2 minutes from I-95, 5 minutes from the Turnpike, and 1 minute from the Boca Town Center Mall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable and special date night experience!” - David Bilu
