Ranked as the 6th most walkable neighborhoods in West Palm Beach, the historic district of Northwood takes the cheese!
The historic Northwood District’s Mediterranean homes stay quaint with Florida rooms, mid-century floor-plan layouts, and exposed brick. As one of the first historic Districts to be listed on the National register of Historic places, this unique neighborhood keeps its style with help from the West Palm Beach Historic Preservation Program.
Stealing the 6th spot on Walk Score's pedestrian friendly neighborhoods in Palm Beach County, the historic district of Northwood is also home to our Palm Beach Wednesday EATS Spotlight, The Grilled Cheese Gallery (GCG)!
Restaurant owner Jeffrey Thompson is an art-and-antiques collector by day and restaurateur by night. In addition to O-BO, his latest addition to Northwood Village is The Grilled Cheese Gallery.
The menu lists more than a dozen grilled cheese sandwiches. Achieving a golden, crusty outside and oozy inside takes a little patience to cook at home but GCG’s has their method down to a science. In addition to the grilled cheese variety, their menu features tomato basil soup, fries, salads, Canadian-style poutine, and desserts!
In light of National Grilled Cheese Day, The Meyer Lucas Group is giving away a dinner for (2) two at The Grilled Cheese Gallery.
